I’ve enjoyed Chris’s mixes, from the first time I listened to him. His music is extremely diversified,,not really sticking to a genre, for lack of better wording. Chris always seems to be busy making music, while attending Miami-Dade College as a Pre-medical major. Chris has lived in Miami all his life; he’s just 23 years old. Starting out playing piano at the age of 11, then buying his first guitar at the age of 13, it would appear that Chris was destined to make music or be involved at some level of excellence. Always being musically inclined, between the ages of 16 and 18, Chris played in some local bands as a session musician, mostly playing drums, bass or guitar parts for bands that needed a temporary musician to complete a demo.

As stated before, Chris’s music tastes are very broad, not sticking to any one genre. Some influences that have helped shape his interest in electronic music production, range from artists such as Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Orbital, Boards of Canada to J Dilla, Pat Metheny, Sigur Ros and Luke Vibert, then to My Bloody Valentine, Pete Rock and Daedelus and onto Ulrich Schnauss, Plaid, Radiohead and Prefuse 73, a buffet of varying styles of music!
Track #2 off the featured album, Syntax is one of my favorites, while listening to it, you feel a sense of deep darkness at the start, and then it takes you into this trippy jaunt and gives the feeling of hyped tranquility (if you can imagine), that plays well with your head.
Chris played his first live show on February 1st, this year, at Florida International University in support of this album, “Prologue”. I hope it’s the first of many!

Please show some love and give his new album a listen. Very nice sounds!

Much luck to Chris in all that he does. His music is definitely an outstanding variation of the genre. Great column.
Thanks 'Charlie', I agree and feel he'll go a long way, if he has time to pursue..........
Still making music :)
